Frequently asked questions
- Can I try it before subscribing?
- Yes, with the demo on the home page, without an account: drop a short document, check what will be masked, download the anonymised document and put the real values back. There is no free plan and no trial period.
- How are members counted?
- They are the people in your team, pending invitations included. To invite one more person than your plan covers, an administrator first moves to the next plan, from the Settings.
- How does payment work?
- By card, on Stripe's secure payment page. Maijin Shield never sees your card number. You receive an invoice by email at each renewal, with VAT and your company number if you provide it.
- Can I stop whenever I want?
- Yes, from “Manage my subscription” in your Settings; in a team, an administrator does it. The plan stays active until the end of the period already paid. After that you can no longer anonymise, but you still get the real values of your stored documents back. No cancellation fee.
- How are pages counted?
- When you anonymise: a PDF counts its pages, a Word or Excel document one page per 3,000 characters (a well-filled page). The pages of the month are shared by the whole team. Analysing a document without downloading it, or getting its real values back, does not count.
- What happens if we go over the pages of the month?
- Nothing is lost: you can still get the real values of your anonymised documents back. To anonymise new ones, wait for next month or move to the next plan.
- Why 90 days?
- Your original documents are never stored. To give you the real values back after your work with AI, we keep the mapping between labels and real data, along with the anonymised version to download again, encrypted, for 90 days. You can delete them at any time.
- Can we pay by invoice?
- Yes, for a yearly subscription or beyond the largest plan: write to us at contact@maijin.ch.
